I haven't written about my escapades for a while. It's a difficult thing to write about currently. I have so many projects I am working on that I find it hard to distinguish between the two, which makes it hard for me to write coherently about. Mainly because, in the back of my mind, I am always thinking “Is that the right one I'm on about?” Currently I am working on an idle clicker incremental game for the website. It won't be particularly groundbreaking, it'll do what it says on the tin. What it will have is the standard level of piss taking you'd expect from a Foul Entertainment product and a sense of fucking humour. I really get fed up when these games take themselves so damn serious. Let's get one thing straight; They're not proper games. You can't lose. You can progress slower, but you can't lose. There is no real challenge, it doesn't take brains or awesome reactions. It doesn't take anything. So, hopefully our slant on it will be worth the massive waste of your time these things are.

The more I code, the later I stay up. The later I stay up, the harder it is to wake up in the mornings. It's not all negatives though, I have done three assessments on that Coursera course now; 23 out of 24 overall. I'm pleased with that to be honest. Especially as I genuinely think the teacher is appalling.
I have had a little bit of a break from writing this blog, mainly because of the high volume of new things going on at FoulENT at the moment. Here at Foul Towers we are very much like a child with ADHD; Uncontrollable around sweets and sometimes we just can't resist having one off the wrist when the teacher leans over to mark our work. But also, we like to have our fingers in many different pies and we have numerous things on the go. This means that sometimes things like this, get put on the back burner. We've been steadily writing quickfire gags and ridiculous scenarios for our webcomics. I've been doing this while juggling my foray back into coding.
It's hard to understand why things don't work sometimes. For example, I tried integer division today without typecasting. Meaning, all of the calculations for my dungeon crawler battle system went completely tits up. I've still not figured out how to get it completely sorted yet. Which is why there is no download for it at the bottom of this page. Fingers crossed, by next week, I will have sorted it and moved on to making a boss and an end message and the game will be all yours to mock and deride.
I thought I'd write this blog to document my travels from awful coder to slightly less awful coder. As I am quite far down my path of coding, there will be no real sense of time involved here. It will be a mish mash of whatever comes into my head, most of it probably not about coding.
