I'm a big fan of Facebook. You may have seen me on there, and if you haven't then you can add me right here! Due to my previous statement, you can probably imagine that I see a hell of a lot of riddles that people post. I'm also a big fan of riddles in general; There is nothing I like more (Well, except sitting down after a hard day grafting and tugging myself blind) than solving a good riddle. So here, for your enjoyment is a selection of riddles and solutions!
The Fishing Trip Riddle:
The Accepted Answer
It's only three men. A Grandfather, Father and Son. It tricks you into thinking there are four men, but really there are just the three. Good trick, riddle, good trick.
My Answer
There are four men, and they all caught a fish each. Unfortunately due to the oil refinery at the edge of the lake, there was a high concentration of methylmercury in the halibut that one of the fishermen caught, so it had to be thrown back.
The Checkers Riddle:
The Accepted Answer
The two men are playing against different opponents, not against each other. This one is pretty simple, my three year old figured it out in between watching Paw Patrol and trying to draw a picture of me on the bathroom wall in his own faeces.
My Answer
Checkers is shit and they couldn't be arsed to keep count, they both told their missuses that they won three games when they got home.
The Shot Riddle:
The Accepted Answer
The woman had taken a photo of her husband. Developed him in her dark room, the next day they got up and had breakfast together.
My Answer
The husband had been sleeping with his wife's sister for almost two years. After a pregnancy scare forced the sister into confessing, the scorned wife decided to take revenge with the .57 she kept hidden under her bed. She waited until he came home from work. He was planning on taking some clothes to his parent's house and staying there to give her space; Although he had hurt her, he still loved her and didn't want to continue hurting her. But she didn't give him the chance. She waited until he was in the bedroom and shot him through the head. After wrapping his head in a blanket, she drew a face on it with lipstick. She dragged his body downstairs to the kitchen and sat him in a chair, then used rope to keep him upright. The next morning she woke, cooked bacon and eggs and sat and ate breakfast with her cold, dead corpse of a husband.
The Murder Mystery Riddle:
The Accepted Answer
The police arrest the maid, the post doesn't get delivered on a Sunday.
My Answer
The police arrest the cook on a charge of being in possession of black skin in the vicinity of a crime. She appeals but it is denied due to the overwhelming evidence of her blackness.
