In the wake of news regarding Hulk Hogan being awarded an unjustifiable amount of money for his sex tape leak, the celebrity ex-wrestler has set in motion a further lawsuit which he claims violate his privacy and cause him emotional distress.
The Hulkster, real name Hulk Hogansworth, has filed a lawsuit against his previous employer and television mogul Ted Turner. Turner was the founder of Turner Network Television and owner of WCW (World Championship Wrestling), of which Hogan sometimes showed up to recordings of to fumble around and tell the audience how good he used to be in WWF.
"There was a match scheduled between Hogan and Goldberg on Nitro one evening," Hogan's lawyer told us. "Well, I say match. It was more like two pissheads trying to sing Chumbawumba on a karaoke. It wasn't so much wrestling as it was borderline shagging. It was one grapple away from needing a fluffer at ringside."
"Hogan told Turner that all he was good for was getting a microphone and saying things like brother and Mean Gene. Wrestling was secondary."
So Hogansworth was livid when he eventually realised, twenty years on, that Turner had actually broadcast Hogan's 'matches'.
"I know it took me a while to realise what had happened, but to be fair I was too busy recording myself having sex and then suing people to notice. What Turner has done is violate my privacy. My matches were never meant for public broadcast despite me knowing that cameras were recording everything I did. It has emotionally affected me. The least I can ask for is six hundred million dollars."
WCW eventually went into adminstration and was bought out by rival federation WWE. Hogan claims Turner caused this by releasing Hogan's bouts.
Hogan concluded his statement by removing his shirt and asking "What you gonna do brother, when Hulkamania sues wild on you?"
