A US jury today ordered tech giant Apple to pay a £152m fine today for patent infringement. In a move that showed a giant disregard for the work of other people Apple used a patented microchip in some iPhones and iPads, not only without paying any kind of fee but without even asking! An Apple spokesman said after the case "While I understood they did all of the work researching and developing the chip, you have to understand how much work it took to steal this technology and bring it to such a wide audience, for a fee of at least $450"
The spokesman continued "Obviously we disagree with the court ruling and intend to contest it, we abhor stealing, for example when Samsung stole our ideas they had to pay us a considerable sum for stealing, but being influenced by others, like we were by Kane Kramer for the iPod or the pinch to zoom from diamond touch by Samsung that influenced us or the Wi-Fi sync icon we influenced from Greg Hughes, well they don't require any monetary reimbursement or in fact any recognition of any kind haha!"
This gained a rapturous applause from the turtleneck wearing crowd of at least 15,000. The Apple spokesman raised his hand for silence and carried on with his media soundbite "In a move completely unrelated to this case we have decided to move forward the release of the iPhone 6C. It will be exactly the same as the iPhone 6S, but it will have a hastily arranged coloured case and cost $150 more. I know what you're thinking, that sounds amazing, and you would be right."
